A: Signs include a persistent musty odor, unexplained allergy symptoms, warped or bubbling paint, and discoloration near baseboards or ceilings. We use thermal imaging and moisture meters to locate hidden mold and the moisture feeding it without unnecessary demolition.

Q: What causes mold to grow after water damage?

A: Mold needs moisture, organic material, and time. After any water event flooding, leaks, or high humidity spores that are always present begin colonizing within 24 to 48 hours. That’s why drying and mitigation should start immediately after water intrusion.

Q: Is bleach effective for removing mold?

A: No. Bleach kills surface mold but doesn’t penetrate porous materials like drywall, wood, or insulation, where roots remain. It also doesn’t address the moisture source. Professional remediation removes contaminated materials and treats surfaces properly.

Q: Can I stay in my home during mold remediation?

A: In many cases, yes, especially if the affected area is contained and separate from living spaces. For extensive contamination, we may recommend temporary relocation. We’ll advise you honestly based on the scope of the project.
